The supplied identity record listed YNWNSFGLRF-NH2, or H-Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2, with molecular formula C63H83N17O14. Those identifiers describe the peptide without a counterion; the record did not confirm the composition of an Oath lot.

Kirby and colleagues used KISS1R and GPR54 for the kisspeptin receptor in their 2010 synthesis. The in vitro evidence they summarized showed receptor binding and activation by Kisspeptin-10, with potency similar to the longer Kisspeptin-54 fragment.

The 2004 mouse study measured higher circulating LH after Kisspeptin-10 exposure. The separate 2004 in vitro rat-tissue work found increased GnRH release from hypothalamic explants but no LH or FSH change in anterior pituitary fragments under the tested conditions.

In the 2011 human study of healthy men, acute LH rose while acute testosterone did not change significantly. The longer-exposure experiments reported higher testosterone, and separate pulse analysis found increased LH pulse frequency and secretory mass per pulse.

The human study reported LH and FSH stimulation in preovulatory women, with no significant reproductive-hormone stimulation in follicular-phase women under the tested conditions. The mechanism behind the weaker follicular-phase response remained unresolved.

The 2011 human study reported no adverse events during observation. The 2018 in vitro rat-derived cell study found no loss of MTT-assessed viability. The 2011 mouse vascular study recorded edema and changes consistent with reduced local blood flow. These observations did not establish long-term or reproductive safety.
